Establish who are the best journalists to approach with your story.
Make contact with these journalists and try to find out what they are looking for at this moment in time.
Write your press release with an angle on the feedback you have received from the journalists you have contacted.
Keep your press release concise and factual answering key questions.
Include suitable quotations from key personnel in the company you are writing about.
Send out the press release once it is written and checked.
Follow this up by phoning the journalists in question.
Offer any further help to these journalists and request feedback.
